Grading System

Student progress is reported to parents/guardians four times each school year by means of report cards. The report card data shall contain, but not be limited to include: grades in scholastic achievement, adjustment, social and personal attitudes, and work habits.


Scholastic Achievement for Grades 1 - 5 is reflected on the report card as follows:


A = Excellent  
90 - 100
B = Above Average   
80 - 89
C = Average   
70 - 79
D = Below Average    65 - 69
E = Failure to Meet Standards    Below 65


Kindergarten will use the following rubric:
P-Proficient
I-Improving
D-Developing
N-Needs Strengthening 
X-Not Expected at this Time


The special areas of world language, physical education, art, and vocal music will be reported as Pass/Fail.


Citizenship - Grades K - 3 will be rated as follows:
S = Satisfactory
N = Needs Improvement
I  = Improvement Noted


Citizenship - Grades 4 - 5 will be rated as follows:
1 = Always
2 = Usually
3 = Sometimes
4 = Seldom
